Blake had his first dentist appointment the other day. He did a great job! We had practiced at home (first on Daddy , then on Blake) and when he arrived at the appointment he eagerly sat in the chair and opened his mouth so the dentist could count his teeth (and clean and apply fluoride). He passed with flying colors! Apparently he has some iron staining on his bottom molars, but the dentist isn't concerned. I was very proud of my brave boy! (and it helped a lot that the dentist was a lot of fun!)

Carter - Video Silliness
When he isn't eating, he's jumping...
and jumping...
...or laughing!
For whatever reason Carter occasionally freaks out in his chair when we are trying to feed him. I don't know if he just likes making the chair shake, or what else is going on in that little baby brain. But it is pretty intense. It is a little hard to tell, but Carter is doing it all himself - I'm not touching him or the chair!
Oh, Carter you are SO MUCH FUN!

Hungry Monkey
A quick update on Carters recent eating habits. He is a hungry monkey! He eats solids three times a day, including a big bowl of cereal (a combination of rice and oatmeal), mixed with some baby food, and then sometimes he finishes off some additional baby food. So far he has had bananas, pears, apple sauce, green beans and peas, and he likes them all! (I tried sweet potatoes the other day and he ate them but didn't seem as excited about them.) I think apple sauce is his favorite. Plus, he takes four 6 oz bottles, and two of those bottles contain additional rice cereal. Phew!
All this eating might explain why he is gaining a pound a week. This has to be a growth spurt!
