It's about time we update this blog, huh?A lot has been happening since our Christmas newsletter! Just a couple of weeks after we posted we found out some great news...
We're pregnant!!
We are expecting a baby boy sometime around Sept 20th. We're calling him Bam Bam until he arrives, when we will announce his real name. Apparently Mike offered his brother some (rather large) sum of money to name his first child Bam Bam, but was turned down! Mike raised the offer when they were pregnant with their second (a girl), this time recommending the name "Pebbles" but this offer was again refused. So I am humoring him by letting Mike call the baby Bam Bam for these nine months. He has promised, however, that the name will be on NO formal documentation!
Mom and baby are doing well. Sarah is getting to know her new pregnancy body and all the changes that come with being a baby factory, and Mike is serving her heroically as back trouble and a growing belly have made simple chores much more difficult.
Here is a sonogram photo from just 11 weeks. It is hard to believe how many details you can see so early - little eyes, ears, and legs! He was doing somersaults for us at this appointment. And here is a more recent photo of mom-to-be at 27 weeks.
