Ocean City, MD

We had a great time at Ocean City this past week!

Here is Blake's debut in the baby pool, with a blow-up toy we found for $5 at the local Rose's. It proved to be absolutely perfect, as it provided some shade and allowed Blake to cruise around the pool quite independently. He loved it.
He really didn't care at all about where Mom and Dad were, he was quite content to tool around the little kiddie pool all by himself, splashing as he went!

Oh, my cutie pie! Needless to say, Blake slept VERY well, the first night sleeping ALL night for the first time every, going to sleep at 8pm and not waking until 6am the next morning. Another day he napped for 2.5 hrs in the morning, and then almost fell asleep resting on Dad's shoulder a few hours later. We wore him out, apparently!

Here he is exploring sand. For some reason he just wanted to squeeze it real hard! He just giggled as we shook the sand through the sieve that Mom Mom bought him.

Blake was a trooper, flexible and fun during the day, and patient as Mom and Dad lugged him to various restaurants in the evening, even pushing his normal bedtime later than usual. We are so grateful - this trip was such a blessing! We just can't get over how cute and sweet this little boy is!
There is a little photo of Blake's great-grandparents at my mom's condo where we stay. If they only saw this little one and all the fun we have, they would be so pleased! We are making some precious family memories, which we will never forget. I'm so sorry they were not able to meet Blake. Thanks, Mom, for sharing your condo with us to make it possible!
